Hack for Sustainability Cities will take place at the APA National Planning Conference Tech Zone in Seattle, April 18-19, in partnership with Code for Seattle. The event will kick off (or extend) an open source codebase to serve a particular need for planners. It will also be an opportunity for the Seattle tech community and planning community to engage with each other. The focus of the hackathon will be on Sustainable Cities.
What should be built?
Join the conversation as a technologist or planner. What are the possibilities? What particular problem might be addressed through technology or software? What data sets are available? What do the coders and designers need to know about planning for sustaining places in order for the work to be meaningful? Ideas will inform what gets built in Seattle!
